Waterloo, Canada: Maplesoft today announced a major new release of its flagship product, Maple™, the powerful and easy to use mathematical software. Maple is used by mathematicians, educators, students, engineers, and scientists to analyze, explore, visualize, and solve math problems. The new release, Maple 2024, leverages powerful AI technology to help customers be more efficient, in addition to a range of improvements that expand problem solving capabilities, enhance usability, and increase support for teaching and learning.

With Maple, you aren't forced to choose between mathematical power and usability, and the improvements in Maple 2024 continue to strengthen both aspects of the software. Key enhancements include:

  • Advanced AI technology provides customers with formulas, equations, explanations, and Maple commands to shorten time spent on tasks and gives them the opportunity to explore the use of AI inside Maple on their own.
  • New cutting-edge algorithms in multivariate polynomial systems, integral equations, summation, matroid theory, and many others mean Maple 2024 can solve even more problems, more quickly.
  • Usability improvements mean customers can call even unfamiliar commands correctly on the first try, without consulting the help pages, with the help of automatic command and argument completion features.
  • The ground-breaking Check My Work feature, which analyses each step of a student’s fully worked solution and helps them identify where they went wrong, has been expanded to cover even more types of problems.
  • The extensive support for units, which allows customers to work with real-world data in a natural way while painlessly keeping track of their units, has been further expanded with built-in units handling in more computations, increased efficiency, and support for new systems of units.
